I was thinking about what I want to wish you for the coming year. I was going through the past two years trying to figure out what it was so magic about this period of my life. Many important things happened to me but when I was trying to sum them up it all came to one word...love. It is an incredible emotion that seems so simple but it makes our life so complex. Our relationships have incredible influence on the chemistry in our body. The symphony of love chemicals can bring incredible joy and happiness in our life. They can make us warm, creative and deeply content individuals. But it can also do the opposite.
As parents and partners we have enormous influence of how our and our children's brain systems develop. And the best we can give to each other is warmth, kindness and love. I wish that in the coming year we take even more time for each other, for cuddles and play, for long talks and walks.
Instead of greeting cards I want to send you my favourite lecture on chemistry of love by Helen Fisher. Put on your favourite CD and take a couple of minutes to listen to her inspiring speech. I wish you lots of love in 2007!
